Bluewater fishing

From July to November , Marlin , Sailfish ., Dorado and Bluefish are abundant along the Northern Senegalese coastline , and with the digging of the new access channel , these waters can be accessed within 20 minutes from our jetty in St Louis.

Our new purpose built 26ft Sportfisher offers comfort and speed and can be used for Deepwater trolling and Inshore fishing alike.
With a 200hp Yamaha outboard , a 40hp auxiliary , a top speed of 30 knots and all the latest GPS and Depth sounding equipment , she is perfect for either a relaxed day in the Estuary or Marlin fishing 20 miles out.

.

Fishes of the Senegal river

The damming of the Senegal river , has brought fresh water to within 9 miles of the coast and with it have come 2 of the most reknowned fighting fish in freshwater. Nile Perch and Tigerfish are plentiful in the lower reaches of the river , and both are a challenge for even the most experienced of anglers.

Fishing days start early around 6am , with the first session ending around 11am and then nother afternoon session from 4 - 8.30pm.

Trolling and Livebait are the best methods for the Big Nile perch , but fly fishing and casting lures can also be effective on their day.

Small 16ft Skiff type boats take 2 persons and are equipped with 15hp Yamaha outboards.

There is also a chance for some Surf casting from the Storm beaches along the coast for Big Guitar fish and Threadfin Salmon.
