From July
to November , Marlin , Sailfish ., Dorado and Bluefish
are abundant along the Northern Senegalese coastline
, and with the digging of the new access channel ,
these waters can be accessed within 20 minutes from
our jetty in St Louis.
Our new
purpose built 26ft Sportfisher offers comfort and
speed and can be used for Deepwater trolling and Inshore
fishing alike.
With a 200hp Yamaha outboard , a 40hp auxiliary ,
a top speed of 30 knots and all the latest GPS and
Depth sounding equipment , she is perfect for either
a relaxed day in the Estuary or Marlin fishing 20
miles out.

Fishes of the Senegal river
The
damming of the Senegal river , has brought fresh water
to within 9 miles of the coast and with it have come
2 of the most reknowned fighting fish in freshwater.
Nile Perch and Tigerfish are plentiful in the lower
reaches of the river , and both are a challenge for
even the most experienced of anglers.
Fishing
days start early around 6am , with the first session
ending around 11am and then nother afternoon session
from 4 - 8.30pm.
Trolling
and Livebait are the best methods for the Big Nile
perch , but fly fishing and casting lures can also
be effective on their day.
Small 16ft
Skiff type boats take 2 persons and are equipped with
15hp Yamaha outboards.
There is
also a chance for some Surf casting from the Storm
beaches along the coast for Big Guitar fish and Threadfin
Salmon.
